Dr. Gabriel Ojeda and Dr. Janet Eichholz specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease
KNOXVILLE, TN (April 18, 2018) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed Gabriel Ojeda, M.D., cardiologist, to his new medical practice at Tennova Cardiology – Tellico. He is accepting new patients at his office in the Tellico Village community at 202 Dohi Drive, Loudon, Tennessee. Dr. Ojeda will also see patients at East Tennessee Heart Consultants on the campus of Turkey Creek Medical Center, 10800 Parkside Drive, Suite 331, Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Ojeda specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Using noninvasive testing and clinical evaluation, he assesses heart function and offers measures to help prevent progression of heart disease. Dr. Ojeda has a special interest in primary and secondary prevention of heart attacks and other cardiovascular conditions.
Most recently, Dr. Ojeda practiced medicine at Tennova Cardiology of Lenoir City, serving the community for more than 25 years. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Centro Estudiantil Tecnologico, Dominican Republic. He completed a residency at Griffin Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine in Derby, CT. Dr. Ojeda also completed fellowship training in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL.
Janet Eichholz, M.D., an interventional cardiologist with East Tennessee Heart Specialists at Turkey Creek Medical Center, will also see patients one day a week at the new Tellico Village cardiology office, beginning May 10.
Dr. Eichholz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions including narrowed blood vessels, valve disorders and peripheral artery disease. She is experienced in a wide range of cardiovascular interventions, such as heart catheterization, angioplasty and stents. Dr. Eichholz has a special interest in treating heart disease in women and in preventive cardiology to promote a heart-healthy lifestyle. She exclusively performs cardiac procedures at Turkey Creek Medical Center.
Dr. Eichholz earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. She completed her internship and residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. She also completed fellowship training in cardiology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville; and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA.
